Abstract

Present investigation focused on antimicrobial potential of aqueous extracts and solvent extracts (ethanolic, methanolic, ethyl acetate and chloroform) of Emblica officinalis (amla) against selected bacterial strains. The agar well diffusion technique and disc diffusion methods were employed. Amla fruit protein extracts exhibited antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli
